For my object I chose a nutcracker because it is a symbol of something extremely important to me. I have been participating the the ballet The Nutcracker for 10 years and this holiday season will be my 11th Nutcracker. This object brings up so much joy and happiness for me as well as hard work and determination. I work for months to preform a 3 minute dance in this holdiay show. The Nutcracker is a super special and important tradition for me because it is one of my favorite things in my life. I love the season, the day of the show, watching the ballet, everything about it. I don't think my holiday would be the same without the Nutcracker and I have this exact one in my house. I got it at the New York City Ballet the first time I went to go see The Nutcracker and my aunt got it for me. She is an extremely special person to me and ever since then it is a tradition we go see it every year. The Nutcracker has taught me so much about hard work and feeling rewarded after achieving a goal. It also helped me face my fears of being on stage and now it is still scary but so fun at the same time.
