When I was around eight years old on Christmas day, I opened up a box with Santa wrapping paper on it, having no idea what was inside. Little did I know that it would be something that would immediately become not only my favorite stuffed animal, but my comfort one as well. Inside the box was a snow tiger jelly cat, whom I immediately named Rosie. I got her due to me stealing my brother's leopard jelly cat, Spot, one too many times. My brother got a little sick of it so he made sure that for christmas I got my own jelly cat. I took her everywhere I went. I remember when we missed a flight to Florida she was the first thing I was worried about. No, not the fact that we had almost lost a vacation, but it was instead my prized stuffed animal. Everything was fine when we catched a later flight and was able to pick it up at the Florida airport. After that, I never put Rosie in my suitcase, I was too afraid of losing her. I still have the habit now with my stuffed animals to keep them in my carry on. Now, Rosie is definitely not as soft as she used to be, and usually will wear a sweater of mine from when I was a baby. She's still my favorite, and I always find great comfort knowing that she's near me.
