This is an important artifact to my family because the two people in it are a true gem to us. The two people are my granddad's parents, my dad's grandparents, and my great grandparents. They both lived long productive lives. For example, throughout their lives, my dad describes them as hardworking, honest, and trustworthy. He remembers them being people of their word. They were humble people who continuously showed constant effort in their everyday life activities.  Like my great grandfather would religiously take care of his crops, always working on his land. My great grandmother was a hardworking house wife, I had the blessing to meet her once before she passed at 99 years old. Together they raised their children; therefore, my granddad raised my dad and his other 13 siblings in similar ways. Again, they were always truly gems to us, just for the reason of everything they lived through. The real artifact here is not this picture, but them, for they left a great impact on our family.
