My great-grandparents immigrated. This image is very important to me and my family because we can look back at this image and see the first time my great-grandparents came to the United States to give themselves and their family a better life. This photo also represents me and my family because without them I wouldn’t be who I am today. This is the story of how and why my great-grandparents came to America. My great-grandpa was only nineteen years old when he decided he wanted to come to the United States. He was studying to become a doctor when one of his uncles already lived in the United States decided to give him papers to come out here to study more and to also work more. While he was out here he would travel back and forth to make sure his parents and my great-grandma were doing okay. He saved up enough money to provide a better living environment for his family. This teaches me that many people have worked very hard to move to the United States to have a better for themselves and their families.
