My Grandfather is from Pakistan and my Grandmother is from Germany and they immigrated to the U.S in the 1950s. They came to the U.S because they felt they had the most opportunity as a bi racial couple. My Grandfather had a degree in textiles but ended up going to night school to get a degree in mechanical engineering. My Grandmother was a nurse. They got to realize the dream of coming to America.
