MY GRANDMA'S RING
My name is Rahi and I am 17 years old. One day, my mother told me that we are migrating to the United States. That made me very excited. And that is the new era for me to start my life again and make my dreams come true. One week later, my family organized a farewell party with so many people coming to our party and we had a lot of fun and good memories. And that was the great musical night forever for me.Then there was only one week left for us before we migrated to the USA and we were doing a lot of shopping and packing our luggages. The days passed I felt that I'm leaving my own country which made me feel sorrow and brought tears to my eyes. Coming to America would create golden opportunities for me and my family. At the same time, leaving my entire extended family in India to immigrate to the United States was a very difficult decision. Eight hours before we caught the flight and I was going to leave my grandma that brought tears to my eyes. She gave me motivation and inspiration that she experienced in last 65 years and she also gave us a ring as a blessings which symbolizes our home country and remind us of my grandma so that, whenever I feel alone the ring reminds me of my grandma. The ring is a precious keepsake, symbolizing the enduring love and cherished memories shared between grandmother and her grandchildren. Now me and my family took a snap with grandma’s ring so that we can put it in the frame and make memories. I wear the ring everyday to remember my grandma’s face.
