My grandfather's bicycle.
My grandfather's bicycle.

When I was 5 years old my grandpa had a bicycle in El Salvador. This bicycle reminds me a particular adventure that I had with him. One day my grandpa wanted to take  me to the Molienda where a group of people made honey with sugar cane. He told  my mom and she put a chair on the rack of his bicycle and we started our adventure.

During the trip we saw the variety of trees and cars that passed us by until we reached our destination. When we arrived we ate honey and observed how people made it and how they made “atado de dulce” that is candy.

We spend time together and this old bicycle makes me remember one of the greatest memories that I have with my grandpa.  Also, this artifact still exists in my house, after more than 9 years after my grandfather passed away.
