My Family's Bible

My object is my family’s Bible. It looks dark blue and feels like leather. It is made out of paper and leather, although it has been around for awhile, it is still in good shape. It is used for when we go to church and for when my family has hardships. The object is important to my family and me, because it represents our religion, represents our love for each other, and it helps us get through hard times. It describes part of who I am because it has been in my family since I was 1, and because it represents my love for God.
When I was about 9 or 10, my family and I started using our Bible again because of my sister. She started to have complications with her shunt; she has that because a long time ago when she was little, she was diagnosed with meningococcal meningitis. When we found out that she was having complications, we took her to the doctor. They said she would have to have surgery, and so after that, every Sunday we took our bible to church, and after we would pray for her.

She is doing better now, but the only bad thing about it was that when she started having complications she lost most of her eyesight; so now, she is learning to live life without her sight.
In conclusion, my family and I were very thankful to have had that Bible in our life at that time. And we are thankful to have a strong relationship with God.
