My Families’ Puerto Rican Stew
My object is a Puerto Rican chicken stew that my Grandmother used to cook for my dad back in Puerto Rico. She cooked it for him almost everyday and he loved it so much that when he immigrated from Puerto Rico he made sure to bring this recipe with him to America. When my dad got married he went on to share this recipe with my mom, siblings and me.
This stew is made with chicken, rice, olives, potatoes and cooked carrots with some chicken broth. My family traditionally eats this stew around the winter time. When I eat this stew I like to eat it with some garlic bread or some baguette. Whenever my dad starts to make this stew I get excited because it makes my apartment smell like the amazing chicken stew.
I feel very thankful to eat this delicious stew once in a while. I cannot wait to pass this amazing delicious stew recipe down to my future family.
