Story pending

My dad worked really hard which helped him achieve his dream. My dad was from Bogota, Colombia along with 9 other siblings. From a young age he dreamed of becoming a businessman. In Colombia there weren't that many opportunities. He knew that America was the land of opportunity so he set a goal that he wanted to finish all high school, which he did in 1989.

My dad then decided to go to university not college university!  He knew university was a lot of money so he went on to do a messenger job for 2-3 years in order to save money to pay the private university tuition. After two to three years of hard work he managed to pay his university.
My dad had worked all day long and then went to university at night. My dad would wake up at 5AM every weekday and if there was a difficult exam he would wake up at 3AM to study, he would also put in more study time on the bus when he was going to work or university. He told me it was difficult but he kept going his dream. He kept working, going to school, and getting good grades continuously every day, every trimester. He did this for 6 years.
On November 15th, 1994 my dad graduated university with his CPA accounting degree. After that he got a passport and he then applied for a visa and achieved his long dream of coming to the U.S. He was so very happy and arrived here in Chicago on March 1st, 2001. He then managed to get his own U.S. citizenship. He got a job as an insurance sales agent and then he became a mortgage loan originator and real estate broker.  He's been here for 20 years.
