Hello my name is Jeremiah F. 

I will be presenting a Chinese jade necklace. It is special to me because it is shaped like a gourd and my grandma gave me it when I was a baby. Jade represents harmony, protection, long life, in balance. Jade is a stone it can come from different countries and different colors. Chinese people like green jade the most. My grandma picked a gourd because the Chinese character for gourd has a similar pronunciation as to protect, blessing, happiness and good fortune. The shape of the gourd looks like the number 8 which Chinese people consider as a good luck number. I like my jade necklace because it came from a blessing of my grandma.
