My food is mushroom barley soup. Its from Russia. It’s ate every         time its my grandma’s birthday or anytime (but mostly on my grandma’s birthday) We eat it every June 22nd (her birthday) my food is made of: carrots, peas, corn and green beans and of course mushroom and barley.This dish has been eaten by my mom, grandma, my grandmas mom, and so on.
Why I chose my food was because it reminds me of my Russian heritage. It teaches me about my Russian history and all the things the Russians went through history.This meal is connected to my mom grandma and my grandma's mom. It connects me and my family by how many times the Russians made this dish and how many generations this was passed down.
In conclusion, mushroom barley soup reminds me of my Russian ancestors and heritage. One question I have is how has this dish been passed down to so many generations?
