My mother was born in Guasuntos, Ecuador in 1977 she was a young girl that had a different experience than us that had to work and suffer to provide for her 12 siblings. This money that she saved up has a strong significance to her because of what she had to do and had to go thorough. She worked when she was 12 by taking care of kids, agriculture and taking care of animals but she wanted to have a better life and future. My mother had to think of a plan on how to go to the United States because her parents are very strict that she couldn't go out anywhere except to work so what she did was save money to come to the U.S crossing the border. She left Quito,Ecuador when she was 14 and went walking by foot to come to the U.S and  with  her she had money from a long time period ago  that she saved to leave and have a better future. My mother when she came here she thought that saving the money from a long time ago in Ecuador would help her but it didn't because they used U.S dollars in the United States and in Ecuador they used Sucre. She was gonna use that money from a long time ago to live somewhere, food or anything but it didn't so she had a hard time finding a job to gain money to survive here but lucking she had family that let her live there until she had a job and everything so she can have the future that she need to be where she is at today and not think of the past and know that she made it. My mother isn't that open with her stories because of the experience that she lived but I know in the future she's gonna tell me all the marvelous stories.
