For my object I chose my moms ring. This ring was passed down to me by my mom when she passed in June of 2025, she wore it all the time. There's been a few times where she hasn't worn it but only to not get it dirty, honestly she never took it off. When she got it she told me it was bought for stability. I wear it for protection because to me she's still wearing it. It's a small silver double diamond ring with smaller diamonds around. (as shown in the picture). Sometimes I take it off to shower because it's a bit loose, and even when I know it's close I feel vulnerable and anxious, it makes me feel protected and comforted. I want others to remember to cherish their loved ones and reminisce about the small moments. My ring also holds a deeper meaning for me, when I sit and admire it I think to myself “just keep going, one step at a time. You'll be okay.. Mommy's watching over you.” because it sometimes makes me sad to think about her knowing it's still supposed to be her wearing it.
