Mexico en la piel
México en la Piel/Mexico on the Skin is a piece I made inspired by the Mexican heart decorations found in Coyoacan, Mexico's marketplaces. Every time I visit Mexico City, I make sure to go to Coyoacan, which is my favorite part of the city; it's a region full of color and life, both during the day and at night; I have a special connection to this place, and my mother and I adore it there, so I decided to dedicate one of these clay pieces to her. The piece's title is inspired by the song "México en la Piel" by Luis Miguel, a well-known Mexican artist. Which perfectly reflects Mexico's magnificent, bright, and colorful landscapes.
