The object that I chose for my story is the Mexican flag we have. It is a very important piece of my parents my culture. So, the Mexican flag is made up of three colors and each of those three colors have a meaning. The green part is ment for the independence movement, the white for the purity of the catholic faith, and the red for the Spaniards that joined in the quest for independence and also the blood of the national heroes. The emblem on the flag symbolizes the aztec heritage. According to a beautiful legend the gods had advised the aztecs to establish their city when they find an eagle perched on a prickly pear tree while devouring a serpent. They saw this majestic eagle on a marshy lake that is now the Zócalo in Mexico city.
