Mexican American
This is my mom and my dad, and that little girl is me. My parents are from Mexico City, they worked together in the same company in 1995, so that’s how they met and they had a good life together. My mom wanted to get pregnant, so she started investigating hospitals where she can be treated, my mother found great doctors that can help her with her pregnancy problems in the U.S and at that time my dad got fired and both decided to move to the U.S. My parents decided to go with someone who passed them illegally, they are called "coyotes", but not at the same time, my father arrived in a month and my mother in a week, which was very strange but both arrived well and both started again they had no one here, no money, no work, and no house. Then my father got a job which was not easy to get was difficult for him but finally found a job and so my mother could go to the doctor. She had surgery and that way in 2003 I was born. My parents found a place to live, they both had a job, and my sister was born as well in 2006. My parents saved money to build a house in Mexico, which took place and my mother decided to return to live in Mexico I was only 10. I lived in Mexico for five years back then I was 15, and then decide to come back to study high school. At the beginning I felt out of place, I felt alone, not accepted and I even wanted to go back to my parents, it was difficult for me to be without my parents but with the support of my aunt and uncle, I felt better. They support me to follow my goals, just like my parents I returned in search of an opportunity.
