Malta
My story is about my abuelitos house and the object I am using is a bottle of malta. Whenever I was at my abuelitos house they always had many bottles of malta for my family to drink. I remember that when I was in elementary school I used to wake up at 5 to go to my abuelitos house and my abuelita would make me cereal with warm milk, oatmeal, or pancakes and give me a bottle of malta to drink with it then after I finished eating my abuelita walked me to school and after school she’d walk me back and I’d eat dinner at her house before heading home. We usually drink at least one bottle of malta whenever we go to their house, like during christmas or new years eve. Drinking malta gives me a sense of nostalgia since I always associate it with my abuelitos house. I’m a third generation immigrant, my abuelita immigrated to the US from puerto rico and had my mom here. I’m not sure about my grandpa because I didn’t grow up with my grandpa though since he passed away when I was young. Who I consider my abuelito I’m not technically related to since he got married to my abuelita after my mom was born.
