The first significant gift I had when I was a baby was an Azabache bracelet my mother gave it to me, it's very important for me because it represents how much my mom care for me and wanted to protect me. Throughout life I understood the meaning of small things and how people take refuge in objects to feel that they protect or care for their relatives. This bracelet is used to prevent the mal de ojo or evil eye; also used to send away the evil and keep the bad vibes; having newborn babies wearing it, will protect them. My mother gave it to me, when I was 4 months old because the color of my skin and eyes attracted a lot of attention and she wanted to protect me from badly intensified people. I will almost turn 18 years old and my mom still has this bracelet, as well as some of my teeths; this is one of the greatest love samples that I've receive. Therefore, when I have my baby in the future, I will also put this bracelet on my baby's hand or feet, because I want my children to feel the same love and emotion that I feel when I see this gesture from my mother.
