Madre Luchadora
I am going to start off by stating that my siblings and I were raised by my single mother. My mother had seven children including myself, two boys and five girls, we were all born in Mexico. My mother had once told me that my dad had came to the United States to work and would go every so often to see her and basically get her pregnant. She then later found out that my dad was seeing someone else while she was in Mexico. When my mother decided she was tired of the life in Mexico and wanted better for us she decided to migrate to the United States. We all had to be separated because it was impossible for my mother to bring all of us to the United States at the same time. My mother migrated to this country first with my two older siblings and the rest of us stayed behind with family members. She than later send a family relative to get us. My mother wanted to migrate to the United States because she wanted a better life for us and to have greater opportunities in our lives. She didn't think our home country was the ideal place to stay and have a future. Due to no education and not knowing English the only job my mother was only able to obtain is in the fields. My mother worked in the fields ever since she migrated to this country, roughly about twenty-four years ago. She always worked hard to support and sustain the household. My mother just recently stopped working in the fields because she ended up in the hospital because she was having kidney problems. I choose the picture of my mother, siblings, and I because she is a strong woman who did a lot for us.
