Although it's just a board game, it has a special place in my life. It reunited us a family to spend time together, and also a break from our busy lives. Everyone was equally good in it. This board game is called ludo. It is very popular in the region of the indian subcontinent (countries like Bangladesh,India,Pakistan).Ludo is a game of two to four players, in which the players race their four tokens from start to finish according to the rolls of a single die. Like other cross and circle games, Ludo is derived from the Indian game Pachisi, but simpler. The game and its variations are popular in many countries and under various names. You can find this game in almost every bengali household. I grew up playing this game with my family. My mom ́s sister and us used to live in the same house before they moved to Finland. Me and my cousins grew up playing this game, our families used to play this almost every weekend in teams of 4. We used to spend so much time together playing this game but after they left this game fell in the shadows, for a while. No one played it until one day my grandmother took it out from this corner of my room, it was so dusty you would start sneezing even if you weren't allergic to dust. Just like old times we all used to play this game until the passing of my grandmother earlier this year. Even though it's just a board game, it is a big part of my culture and my family.
