I watched a video about a woman named Dipika Mukherjee who talked about why a charm bracelet was so important to her.

Lucky money is money that is placed into a red envelope and later given to friends and family during new years. Even though it is supposed to be given during new years, my family gives it to me during any special event. Lucky money is significant to me because whenever I receive It, I'm reminded of all of the struggle that my Vietnamese family went through. During the Vietnam war my mom's family had to flee Vietnam on a boat due to the danger of the war. Due to complications though, my mom was not allowed to go on the boat with the rest of her family. So she had to wait a few more years with her aunt in Vietnam, until she was five years old. Only then she was finally able to leave Vietnam and war behind.
