Story pending

When my mother was younger, she lived in Mexico with her family, and on January 6, they celebrated a day called Los Tres Reyes Magos, which is a celebration when the three kings came to baby Jesus to give him gifts when he was born. So when she moved to NYC, she wanted her kids to also know and celebrate this day because of her religion of Christianity. Now on January 6th, my immediate family comes together to celebrate Los Tres Reyes Magos, a day to cut the Rosca De Reyes. This day is when the REAL fun comes, because children will put their shoes outside their rooms door for the Reyes to come and leave gifts in their shoes. And on the same day, we get this bread called Roscas de Reyes, which is a bread that has baby Jesus dolls inside of it. These dolls are a punishment if you find one of them in your slice of bread, you will have to buy or help make tamales for February 2. So when cutting the size of bread you want, you don't know if you will get the baby or not, so it's fun seeing people’s surprise when they get this doll. I like this celebration because it brings the family together, and we just have lots of fun making hot chocolate and hoping we don’t find a baby Jesus.
