The llama pendant belonged to my mom. She came to N.Y. From Peru, South America with my dad. The llama is a significant symbol of Peru. We lived in numerous tenement "type" apartments when I was young. My dad eventually became a chiropractor in Queens. My brother and I grew up in N.Y. Later, he became a New York high school teacher. I got married and moved away from N.Y.
