Liverpool map
I chose the map of Liverpool in my house. The map is large and is hung up on the wall of our dining room. The map is important to me because it represents one side of me that I don’t often get to connect with. Most of my family on my dad's side are from Liverpool, and when my dad was young, he himself lived in Liverpool for much of his childhood. To this day, we go back to Liverpool basically every year. I also feel very connected to Liverpool because it is so different from my life in New York. Liverpool has one of the most interesting accents in England and it's a very polarizing one. There is also a sporting connection to Liverpool for me as I support the Liverpool football club, the biggest in Liverpool and the world. There is a very historic rivalry between Liverpool and Everton, the other team in Liverpool, and the majority of my Liverpool family are Everton supporters so it is sometimes funny to visit them.
