My grandfather and grandmother both emigrated from Latvia during/shortly after (respectively) to the U.S., both passing through Displaced Person's camps in Germany. Eventually, they settled down into Minneapolis, Minnesota where my grandmother (as my grandfather is recently deceased) still lives.
