Las Fiestas
My family doesn't have an object that represents us but in Mexico is where I felt my happiest. I danced with my family and new friends that I made all night. I went in February for the first time so my dad could go and see his family that he didn't visit in over nineteen years and so I can meet them as well. As soon as I arrived I instantly fell in love with the place itself and the living style and didn't want to leave. For the 9 days I stayed, I went to every party each barrio (neighborhood) threw and ate until I couldn't walk. There would be fireworks going off all day and night, they would never stop. There were miles of tables filled with different types of foods and drinks people brought. My family threw the first party to start it off and it was honestly amazing . They have been doing this for many years so it's kind of our tradition. Before going to the big parties you had to go to church. After church, Aztec dancers would dance to bring peace to our little town. If this whole CoronaVirus is over then I'll definitely be there next year in February again.
