La virgen de Guadalupe,
My mom left Mexico at a young age. She traveled all the way to New York City. She left everything back home to get a better education. She ended up graduating with three kids. When I was little, I remember my mom telling me and brothers before we would go to sleep, to ask la Virgen de Guadalupe for protection. My uncle as well came to New York a few years later when my mom came, to help out my grandma back in Mexico. We don't get to see as much. Eventually, recently about 5 years ago my Uncle went back to Mexico. On the day of my quince (15) my mom handed me my necklace. It had a gold chain, Un Nino Dios, and La Virgen De Guadalupe. In the back of the figures it was engraved and it said, "14-12-2015" from the year of my quince anos and the other figure, Nino Dios it says, "12-14-2000" for the year of my birth. When we called my grandma, she said they all chipped in money to buy me my necklaces, she said it will protect me where ever I go. Later that day my mom as well have me my necklace from her part, The Sliver it says, "St. Jude Thaddeus". I decided to put them all together because they both have their own stories, my moms story and my uncles and grandma story over in Mexico.
