Story pending

My mom and dad immigrated to the United States for better opportunities in life and to be able to provide for their family back in Mexico. When they came my dad had left his mom, his only parent, back in Mexico to try to help her move forward in life. My grandma was really heavy on ‘La Santa Muerte’ or the ‘Holy death’. Since my grandma was heavy on it, she passed it down to my dad and he has his own as well as my grandma's big red one from Mexico. My dad coming from a hard past in Mexico had very little to believe in especially since his father had left him when he was young. All of my grandmother's beliefs passed down on him since she was the only one who raised them, no step parents at all. My grandma has now passed away for a while which hit my dad really hard emotionally and mentally. He was never able to see her again after leaving Mexico which he regretted since he wasn’t documented and still isn’t. It’s been over 20 years since he was last in his hometown back in Mexico. We all know he still gets homesick having left everything behind without looking back and rethinking it. He was never able to finish school in Mexico or here having the fact to work all the time. He had my grandmother’s Santa Muerte shipped from Mexico to us as well as little one for each one of us.
