My object is a Kiddush cup which is a religious object used on holidays like Passover and during bar mitzvahs. It was my great grandparents and they got it on a trip to Israel when they were retired. When they died it was given to my mother who still has it. The object is important to my religion because it reminds us of how the Jews were freed from slavery in Egypt. The object shows the issues that Jewish people have had in the past and helps us celebrate how they overcame those issues and make sure that we remember them.
