My father was one of many siblings, which is common in a Mexican household. Since there were so many children running around my Nana did have much money to afford "getaways" or vacations. So as my father grew up he didn't have the opportunity to explore much in his childhood, even though he was an adventurous person. When he got older he was able to explore more on his own and he loved it. He was able to go off to college and explore different jobs as well as visiting many countries around the world as a reward. My dad passed on his adventurous personality and, unlike what his mother was able to give him, a chance to explore at a young age. As a child my family went on countless camping trips and outdoor adventures all across California and the world. I am very grateful he was able to do that for me as it opened my eyes to things that not everyone gets to see.
