Jewelry from Italy - old family photo

Imagine how you would feel if you had to leave your home country and all you have known at the young age of 14. My great grandpa came from Italy when he was only fourteen years old. In these pictures it shows fine Italian jewelry that my family brought back from Italy. The picture on the left shows a rosary, a pendent and gold earrings. The little boy on the left is my great grandpa who is actually now ninety five years old, his mother in the middle, and one of his brothers on the right. My great grandfather comes from a very big family so it is very meaningful to pass down special things. On the occasion when my great grandpa finally met my great grandma in America, who is currently ninety three he decided to pass down the important jewelry to her to show how meaningful it is and also to show his appreciation and love he has for her. This jewelry is important to not only my great grandparents, but my whole family as well. It has a special meaning to our Catholic religion, when my great grandpa came all the way from Italy to America, but it also shows a happy thriving time of when my great grandparents met and started a great life together in America. In fact, they have been married for over 72 years and everyone absolutely loves hearing about their story
