There is one thing I wore when I was a child that is still important to me today. It is called a jalabiya. I wore the jabaliya, covering all parts of my body. The jabaliya is made of cotton cloth in Sudan. It is considered a symbol of Sudanese culture. We do not always wear these jabaliyas, but it is always worn on big occasions or during holidays such as Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha. We also wear it every Friday so that we can go to perform the duty of prayer.
