Holy Quran
The object I chose is the holy book of Islam the Quran, because it is connected to my culture and my life and family. The Quran is the holy word of God. Muslims believe the Quran to be the word of God (Allah) revealed to the Prophet Muhammad through the angel Gabriel. The Quran is written in Arabic and has teachings on matters of faith, ethics, worship, and law. The Quran connects to my culture because the Quran guides us Muslims to be closer to our God, Allah. The Quran helps teach Muslims about authority, guidance, and the principles of Islam. The Quran connects to my life because when I was about 5, my grandparents would sit down and read the Quran with me every day. And once they died, they passed down the Quran to my parents. When I was seven, they started to teach me how to pray, read the Quran, and learn about Islam. They taught me what culture means to me. These events gave me so many memories that are important to me because of my grandparents and my parents and them teaching me. I hope one day to teach my children.
