Hijab is worn by women to maintain modesty and privacy from unrelated males. According to Islam and the Muslim World, the Qur’an teaches Muslim women to dress modestly. Many Muslims wear a headscarf, known as a hijab. It is made of cotton or polyester. A veil that is tied on at the forehead and falls to cover the full face and chest. Hijab comes from long before Islam came into being the seventh century in the Arabian Peninsula (which is present-day Saudi Arabia. My family and teachers taught me how important it is to wear a hijab. Eid-Al-Fitr is the biggest celebration in my religion which is also connected with the hijab. Further, at the end of Ramadan, Muslims celebrate the Festival of Fast-Breaking and on the Eid, Day fasting is prohibited. The end of Ramadan is generally celebrated by a ceremonial fast-breaking as well as the act of Eid prayer in open, mosque. Hijab is an important part of my identity because it shows I belong to a community. Wearing hijab supposed to protect women from male aggression. Women who wear the headscarf are never bothered by (Muslim) men, who cover their eyes in front of them by a headscarf, these girls are in their view untouchable. Hijab is important to me as I wear a hijab daily, it covers my head and chest. In the holy book of Islam Qur’an says women should cover their hair unrelated male can’t see it, as well as wearing hijab can save women from hell.
