Sometime in the early 1900s, my great grandfather was born in what was then Czechoslovakia. He was baptized, then moved with his family to the USA. He lived in Queens, NY for a while before enlisting in WW2, building PT boats in the pacific. He was shot in the leg then went back to Queens with his family and meeting his wife, an Irish woman. He had two daughters, and during elementary school they moved to Upstate New York. And now I live in the same neighborhood my Great Grandpa lived in when he first moved to New York.
