This artifact is a necklace that was custom-made for my great-grandma. My family is entirely from Argentina, so the necklace was made there. My great grandma’s name was Zelina Mondelo Dieguez. Mondelo is my mom’s maiden name. On the necklace, there are three initials: Z, M, and D. This necklace is also real gold, meaning it was a prized possession of my great-grandmother’s. It was passed down to my grandma, then to my mom, and eventually to me. This necklace means a lot to me because even though I never met my great-grandma, everyone in my family tells me she is exactly like me. - pb
