Story pending

A week ago my mom lent me these earrings because we talked in the kitchen about my class. In the night, she said “I have the earrings from you great-grandmother,” so I really felt emotions in my heart. That is a demonstration of love in my family, but she said first I need to get married because these are for family economy. She gave me the earrings only for school, but I want to say someday to my daughter, “These earrings are from your great-great grandmother”.

My great grandmother is Carmen Medina. She is ninety-six years old, but she has dementia, so I don't have close relation with her. She always needs to have a person near her to take care of her. My great grandmother lives in Oaxaca, Mexico with my great grandfather, and she is occasionally angry, but she really likes to dance and listen to traditional music. These earrings are like two gold coins. I like these earrings because they look old and traditional. I love these earrings because these represent my whole family and the love inside of my family and my country.
My subject are earrings, and the background is soft pink fabric. I used centered landscape. These earrings are coined shape and shiny with a smooth texture. I chose this picture because it has a clean background and good exposure.
