Great-Grandma's Doily

My artifact is a doily made by my great-grandma Rose Spagnuolo. She crocheted probably hundreds of doilies in her life which she gifted to many members of the family. This was is kept by my mom. This doily is an average size but rectangular unlike most circular ones at my house. Doilies are sometimes made of paper and used for protecting surfaces or presenting flowers. It was made where my great-grandma lived in Michigan at an undetermined date, most likely less than 20 years ago.

Place(s): Italy, Michigan
