Story pending

For my entire life an old mahogany desk has always occupied my life. It was a small presence at first, I would only interact with it when I came to see my grandparents. It occupied a corner of their TV room, and had a big office chair I would sit on to watch jeopardy with them. Eventually my curiosity got the better of me and I began exploring its many nooks and crannies. As I grew older I became more aware of what its significance was, it was my great grandfathers desk, where he had created and run several lumber businesses from, and it was given to him by his father, who had created his own real estate company at it. This desk was in a way inspirational to me, because I wanted to follow their footsteps in my own way, and inspired me to begin learning about business practices, investing, land management and more. And then when I was about 12 my great grandfather died, his desk had been used that day for his bills, something he had done for the majority of his life. My grandfather had left the desk to me, which I brought to my house, and which has become my desk for homework. It has left behind a legacy in which I hope to follow in my own unique way. -Kai
