My great grandfather's Bowling ball.

My object is a bowling ball that my great grandfather gave to me and my family about a year ago. The bowling ball is orange, blue, green, and has gold lettering. Although it was used by my great grandfather for many years, it is still sleek to the touch. The ball is roughly the size of a children’s basketball and weighs around ten pounds. My great grandfather was the first in my family to have started bowling and since then every generation has followed suit in enjoying the game. My great grandfather first started bowling when he joined the Air Force. He used bowling as a way to socialize with friends, family, and even strangers. With his love for the game being so plentiful he passed on that love to my grandpa. My grandpa was no different than my great grandfather and instantly loved the game. In fact, he loved the game so much that during high school he worked part time at a local bowling alley. My grandfather then passed on his love for the game to my dad. My dad continued the tradition and bowled every weekend in a youth league starting around the age of eight. He continued to bowl until he was too busy to participate, but he now bowls occasionally when he has time. Bowling has brought my family together and helped us have something in common with each other and for that I’m grateful.
