My great grandmothers' spicy meatballs aren’t just a regular old recipe; they are a famous family tradition that has been passed down for a couple of generations. Although she passed away around 4 years ago, I can still picture her standing in the kitchen whipping up some of her fabulous meals. She made her famous meatballs at every family gathering we had. As the rest of the house was as loud as can be, she was in her own little world just doing what she loved, cooking for others. I first learned about this recipe when I was cooking with my mom one day. I learned that it had been made by my great grandmother. My grandma, aunts, and my mom still make this recipe to this very day. It is one that will most likely and hopefully stay with our family for a long time. There probably have been some modifications and tweaks to it, but it's still the same old idea. A lesson that can be learned from this is that even when something important is gone, the legacy and the bits and pieces are still there with you, like her recipes.
