Grandmother's ring
In 2022, when I was 13, my family decided to move to America. This decision was made mostly because of the War that recently started, but I was still excited to move because I’ve always wanted to visit the US. It was pretty hard for us to move because my entire family was born in Russia, and other European countries, such as Ukraine, Italy, Bulgaria, and Latvia, and leaving my relatives was challenging. A few days before we moved, when I was saying bye to all my relatives, my grandmother gifted me a ring. My grandmother means a lot to me, I remember how I would spend a whole month during summer at her house every year, during the school year I would visit her a lot, and once, for Christmas we we went to Europe together. I don't quite remember where she got the ring from, but I think it was my grandfather (her husband) who made it for her. The ring is gold and has a little diamond and blue crystal in the middle. I wear this ring almost every day because it is very important to me and it reminds me of my family, my grandmother, and the place where I grew up.
