Grandfather's AutoBio (age 11)
I have little to no knowledge of my family's immigration history. As far back as I know my family has lived in the Midwest, my mother's family from Kansas and my father's from Iowa, my immediate family being from Nebraska. As my mother has never met her family I have not been able to trace our heritage whatsoever on her side. The object I have attached is a copy of a page of a type written school assignment of my paternal grandfather's in which he details what his life was like. In the excerpt shown here he describes his experience at the Iowa State Fair (which his father was the president of) and his future goals of becoming a farmer. Although I do not know much about how my family came here, this document gives me insight into what their life may have been like here in America.
