An item that is a very important part of my family history is a grandfather clock that keeps the time in my house. The reason this object is so culturally significant in my life is because it used to be my great grandmother’s, and was passed down to my dad. Before it was ready for usage in my family’s house, me and my dad had to research the origins of the clock, and find replacement prices in order to ensure it would work. This is a good memory for me, and it allowed me and my dad to work on a project that brought us into the past, as our ancestors had used the same clock. This item was always in the front room of my great grandmother’s house whenever the family would visit, or gather for holidays. For this reason, it is a staple in my childhood, and has always been something I have associated with family gatherings, good food, and good times. Overall, this grandfather clock is very important to me and my family, and will be passed down for many generations to come
