My brother gave me the gold chain that represents our religion in Mexico. It is also what we believe, for me and for our religion it is very important.   It is our goddess in whom we believe and she always protects us and helps us. I always bring her with me on  my neck as a symbol of protection and I never forget it because it is also part of my culture. Even though I am here in the US I will never forget that I am Mexican because I do not belong to this society although now I have the opportunity to be here I am proudly Mexican.
