This ring connects my family to hard work and kindness. This gold ring belonged to my great grandmother, her name was Marta Sigmundstad. The ring now belongs to my mom because before Marta died she was sick for many years and when she died my great grandfather gave the ring to my mom as a memory of her. Marta grew up on a farm and when she married my great grandfather they built their own farm. She was very hard working and didn’t have that much money. So the ring was very thin because she wore it so much and gold was very expensive. Marta was very kind and everyone loved her.
