Gold Serpent Necklace

In Attire
Group:

My object is a gold necklace with a serpent on it. The tsar and tsaritsa of Russia were captured by the Bolsheviks who killed their family in 1918. All of the tsarista’s things were sent to London. In London, it went to the Sotheby Auction, where my great grandfather bought it and gave to my great grandmother. It has been passed down to my grandmother, mother, and, hopefully, me one day. This beautiful necklace has many different symbols. The gold chain has stars, which represents the royal family. The serpent represents eternal love with ruby eyes. It is in a box made of wood with silk and velvet. This beautiful treasure will live on in my family for many generations to come
