My dad gave this necklace to my mom when she was 45 and I was a newborn. They meet each other 30 years ago. This necklace is important to us because this is the only memory we have of him. He got deported and can’t come back. All of this happened when I was 5 years old. We were living in Minneapolis, Minnesota as we are now, It has been 9 years since I seen my dad. Ever since my dad gave her the necklace and left us my mom has kept it. Every time I wear it, it brings back all the memories we had together and I feel connected to him.
