I immigrated from Ukraine with my parents and my brother on March 8, 2008. This gold chain was a present from my grandparents so that i never forgot my Christian Orthodox background. I originally never wore it because I didn't feel comfortable wearing it. Also I feel my parents I would lose it in a heartbeat. Around 14 years old i started to wear it permanently. My brother also has one, i think him wearing his influences me to wear mine. Wearing it also makes me feel more confident in my beliefs and my background. Every time i wear the chain i also am reminded of my grandparents and all the family i have back home in Ukraine.
